Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day and in Elmhurst that happens twice every year!

Our annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Spring Road commences at Noon on Saturday, March 8 this year. This parade rivals the Chicago parade (without the green river though) and features many of the same units. They, too, get to enjoy a St. Patrick’s Day event two times in March. The parade will have multiple, musical units, Irish dancers, floats, classic vehicles, elected officials and candidates, mascots, Shriners, the famous Elmhurst Armpit Orchestra and many of your neighbors as marchers with various groups. It’s a fun day for all! The parade’s Grand Marshall this year is the Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry. You can go to elmhurststpatsparade.com for more information.

Then, some nine days later, the “official” St. Patrick’s Day happens all over town as well. Like we said, in Elmhurst we celebrate twice as much as any other town! (Maybe more than twice?)

See you in your green!
